For those worried about this function overwhelming the feed and clogging up your algorithm, it won't. Threads keeps the scrollable bite sized feed, just now with an option to dive deeper if you want to.
To use it, simply tap the new icon in the composer that looks like a rounded rectangle with lines, and voila, a miniature word processor will appear. Once you're ready, hit post as usual and your thread is available, with your added words hidden under the posh new 'read more' block. This feature will especially tease your followers, ensuring they click, engage, and enjoy your content.
This feature is available to all users, and is part of Meta's broader strategy to attract and retain creators on the platform. Don't worry too much if you can't see or use this feature just yet - It was released in early September but is being rolled out to all users gradually.
